The heart of the DOF Foundation is to foster fruitful opportunities for family, community, and education. Family Care: Our goal is to advocate and support the provision of needed social and household services for foster, adoptive, and underprivileged children, and families. An important mission is providing financial assistance to families through our DOF Scholarship. We support a volunteer Wraparound that collaborates with families to develop specific strategies for meeting the needs of the family. Our goal is to create networks of support for transitional age youths Educational Support: Our goal is to cultivate a pipeline to increase the number of disadvantaged, underserved and under-represented minority students in colleges, medical schools and in health care-related fields. Our pathway program is dedicated to cultivating academic success for the medical practitioners and of tomorrow. Homeless Community Care: Our goal is to feed and support the homeless community. We build relations and collaborate with community service agencies to facilitate the transformation of the lives of our homeless neighbors in the community
