About Abel Santos

With a solid starting base as a Graphic Designer, my interest has always turned towards HCI and the way we interact with computers, with the main focus on the vital role that design plays in presenting, understanding, delighting and helping users interact with a large expanding virtual world that increasingly permeates our everyday life. As a technical minded individual and tinkerer; the development side, and how things work, always led me to the development side and how to continuously create and enhance the experiences we provide for people. Always pushing the envelope on what's possible, new technologies, more efficient ways to communicate, build and deploy experiences are always at the forefront of my mind. Though, always coupled with a strong vision and focus on the end product, the clients needs, and the technical and budgetary constraints of every project. The last couple of years, and increasing focus on mobile, has created a colossal shift on the perception and importance of design and UX, highlighting the many benefits of its contribution to an holistic product vision, as core for any project. The present development rate of tools, methods, applications and ideologies makes me incredibly happy about my work and the future of the medium as a whole.
