About Abel Yoseph

I am a highly committed Civil Engineer with over 14 years of progressive experience augmented by postgraduate education in structural engineering and bachelor degree in civil engineering. In this period, I had analyzed and designed reinforced concrete and steel structures, monitored the construction of infrastructures, prepared technical specifications and produced contract documents. Also, I had the opportunity to use engineering principles to solve complex and practical problems and to establish effective working relationships with service users, operational teams, delivery partners and colleagues. Working on different projects made me familiar with the international codes of practice and construction standards such as British Standard (BSI), Uniform Building Code (UBC97), American Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete (ACI318),Code of Standard Practice for Steel Buildings(AISC), Euro Code (EC), International Building Code (IBC2006), Abu Dhabi Building Code (ADCB) & Ethiopian Building Code Standard (EBCS). Furthermore, it gave me the opportunity to excel in using structural analysis & design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, & PROKON, and drafting software AUTOCAD. I am an enthusiastic, detail oriented and highly motivated individual with a clear understanding of my roles and responsibilities. Also, I Possessed excellent communication and decision-making skills together with a positive approach to problem solving. It is my ambition to put this experience to practical use and continue to be challenged and grow as an engineer.
