About Abhay Bhatnagar

I bring to the table over 11 years of experience implementing, customizing and integrating IBM Maximo Asset Management. My journey started in August 2011 when I joined Wipro Technologies as a Maximo Developer. The first project was upgrading Maximo from version 6.2 to version 7.5. Since then, I have been gaining experience in the technical aspects of Maximo. Another project that taught me a lot about customization and the integration capabilities of Maximo was the full cycle implementation of the Maximo process for O&M in an electricity and gas distribution business. Once the project was over, I worked in the application support team and gained experience with ITIL functions. Shortly after, I came to the United States in 2016, here, I worked on various projects that involved Maximo. One such example included working on the implementation of Maximo, adapting it to map the telecommunications business and another project to upgrade Maximo from version 7.5 to 7.6 and this was a successful upgrade where I worked as a technical lead for this project. In 2019, I joined TCS North America where I led a team on an integration project- integrating Maximo and Coupa Spend Management systems. My responsibility included conducting technical design workshops and seeing the projects through to completion in an agreed timeline. Additionally, I worked as a technical consultant in the Application Support team, where I provided guidance in the automation of ITSM functions by integrating Maximo, ServiceNow and other proprietary TCS programs to reduce the number of reported incidents. In 2020, I joined NV Energy and worked as a Maximo Technical Consultant supporting business users of NV Energy and other Berkshire Hathaway Energy subsidiaries such as Mid American Energy and PacifiCorp Energy. I supported them with technical issues and business operations in Maximo. This is where my ITSM knowledge came into play. During my career, I have gained experience in implementing and upgrading Maximo. My customization experience includes using automation scripts in python and jython, configuring MBO, customizing Bean class, building custom application from scratch based on business needs and using MIF to integrate Maximo with other enterprise systems like Ventyx Service Suite, ESRI, PeopleSoft. and CAD systems. I am a team player who is able to lead a team and also able to work independently with minimal supervision. I'm a DevOps enthusiast with experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins and building hands-on training containers using Docker and Kubernetes
