About Abhigya Jain

Abhigya is a senior Vice President of Product and the Product lead for Responsible AI at BlackRock. Currently, as a Generative AI strategist, she is responsible for driving the vision, strategy and development of the firm’s Responsible AI platform. In this role she ensures the firm is empowered to assess and deploy AI systems in a safe, trustworthy and ethical manner. Prior to her current role, she was a key leader within Aladdin Engineering Platforms Product office. With a deep understanding of Software development lifecycle, Abhigya plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of software release technology initiatives for Aladdin, BlackRock's client community and the firm itself. In her capacity, Abhigya spearheads product development, vision and strategy to ensure the ongoing health and innovation of Aladdin Release Estate software. She is deeply committed to user-centric design principles, agile methodologies, and driving continuous innovation throughout the organization. Prior to this, Abhigya wielded her expertise as an Engineering Manager within BlackRock's Software Reliability Engineering function. Here, she orchestrated a transformative journey to modernize software development practices, facilitating the swift delivery and continuous enhancement of highly reliable software. She pioneered the Aladdin Checkouts initiative, a groundbreaking Production health validation Synthetic monitoring system. This system, operational across 140 BlackRock clients, empowers teams to conduct comprehensive application health checks, instilling heightened confidence in application stability at every juncture. This safeguarding measure fortifies the software infrastructure underpinning approximately $9 trillion in AUM across BlackRock and Aladdin Clients, spanning asset managers, pensions, and insurers. Abhigya's tenure at BlackRock commenced with an internship before her formal induction as an Analyst in August 2014. Since then, her journey has been defined by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a steadfast commitment to driving impactful change within the realm of software engineering and product innovation. Beyond her professional endeavors, she is an enthusiastic Generative AI evangelist, dedicating her spare time to experimenting with various Generative AI models, prompt engineering, and machine learning algorithms for passion projects.
