About Abhilash Patel

I am passionate about engineering and product development. I find solutions to the problem using concepts of different disciplines. I worked for ABS Development at Hero MotoCorp. My work consisted of defining and developing the electrical and mechanical systems that ultimately deliver optimum and safe dynamics. I completed my post-graduation with a specialization in design engineering. Where my major work consists of micro and nanoscale vibration measurement. I have also had a patent for a medical device for respiratory monitoring of unconscious patients. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in the area of nanoscale displacement measurement methods for Scanning Probe Microscopy Applications at IIT Bombay. As a part of my PhD, I have developed a low-cost atomic force microscope that is capable of measuring surface profiles with a feature size of less than 10 nm. I spend my time on making various projects typically consisting of embedded systems, RC Planes, or musical instruments.
