About Abhinav Garg

With a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and a solid background in advanced process control, my professional experience at Spartan Controls has been marked by the successful implementation and maintenance of cutting-edge control strategies. The role as an APC Specialist has leveraged expertise in Emerson’s DeltaV and Aspen Tech’s DMC, driving improvements in complex process environments, such as the Imperial Oil’s Kearl Oil Sands, where I am currently embedded full-time. The focus is on developing solutions that harness the power of machine learning and artificial intelligence to optimize operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, we have engaged with clients to explore new control opportunities and have implemented APC strategies that enhance plant safety and productivity.
