About Abhinit Tiwari

I'm a designer and a programmer who lives to see users fall in love with the products I build. My last company Leftshift was acquired by Gojek Indonesia one of the fastest growing startups in the world and Indonesia's first unicorn. I served as the Head of Design at Gojek for almost 5 years leading a team of passionate and talented designers with the aim of making the lives of our millions of users a little bit better each day. Over the last four years my main challenges have been scaling the design team and processes to meet the demands of over 20+ products/services spread across multiple countries. In this time my team has launched multiple much loved products across multiple geographies and demographics while growing to 10x the size it was when we started. In December 2020 after many months of searching me and my team handed over the command of the Gojek design ship to our new Global Head of Design while I continue to be a part of Gojek Design and get to focus on solving some really hard and exciting problems that stand in our way. Before coming to Gojek at Leftshift I helped publish 100s of apps over a decade. From writing and designing softwares for giant enterprises to writing music apps for rock bands I've always enjoyed standing the at the intersection of technology and design. A number of apps I’ve built have been featured in the App Store and Google Play Store under different categories. More importantly 100s of millions of 5-Star ratings. My early years of experience designing on one monitor and coding on the other has given me a deep understanding of the medium I design for. I love software and technology but I love the meaning it can bring to people's lives even more. Other than this I’ve also dabbled in Product Management UX Research leading Engineering recruiting great people and even been a salesman at times.
