Abhishek is an experienced advocate and litigator having started practice in 2012, with more than 10 years of (PQE) in domestic tax, international tax, transfer pricing and commercial and civil litigation (Original Side & Appellate Side), and have been appearing as a Counsel and / or as Junior Counsel before Hon’ble Supreme Court, Hon’ble High Courts at (Bombay, Delhi and Madras, Calcutta), Hon’ble Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata) Hon’ble National Company Law Tribunal (Mumbai & Ahmedabad), Hon’ble Securities Appellate Tribunal amongst other Tribunals and lower courts and in arbitrations with appearance noted in more than 100 cases till date. Abhishek has briefed most of the Senior Counsels / Counsels in Direct Tax Litigation as a Junior Counsel and / or Advocate on Record and also shares a good rapport with various Counsels / Senior Counsels in Mumbai, Pune and Delhi having briefed them in the matters related to Commercial Litigation / Dispute Resolution and Civil / Criminal Litigation and Indirect Taxation on original side as well as on appellate side. Apart from Taxation and Commercial Litigation, Abhishek has a keen interest in laws related to Criminal Laws, Arbitration, IPR, Labour Laws among other laws and have handled some matters during his private practice. Abhishek has rendered work and dealt to various industries and sectors such as IT / ITES, Engineering Services, PSUs, Builders and Developers, Advertising & Media, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Logistics, Warehousing and Shipping, Investment Advisory, Securities & Broking Firms, Manufacturers and Traders of Cargos, Auto Components, Personal Care and Construction. Abhishek is a Master at Law having conferred LLM in Tax Law with Distinction in the year 2015 - 16 by the prestigious Queen Mary University of London. Abhishek has been a member of the Commercial and Allied Laws Committee, Chamber of Tax Consultants since 2019 and was elected as Convener for year 2019 – 2020. He is a part of a subgroup on programs on Arbitration Law for the year 2023 – 2024. Abhishek has been inducted as a Committee Member of the CCLS – India Chapter and has been entrusted to co-lead its CCLS India - Mumbai Chapter. He is regularly invited by his alma mater Queen Mary University of London to speak on events for prospective and current students pursuing tax and commercial laws.
