About Abigael Marquez

I am a hardworking, overachieving, and creative individual who motivates others in numerous ways. I am amiable and cooperative when working with others. I have a diverse background, with experience in various roles. I have worked as a lifeguard and obtained certifications in first aid, CPR, and AED. At Sunny Spot Car Wash, I operated the washing and drying equipment, managed the cash register, and assisted customers. Additionally, I have retail experience from my time at Sister to Sister Boutique, where I handled cash transactions, sales of merchandise, social media and advertising, and customer service. Currently, I work as a regional library assistant at Yakima Valley Libraries, where I help patrons with library technology, assist them in using computerized databases, organize and maintain the library collection, respond to patron inquiries, and perform minor book repairs and circulation materials maintenance. From these opportunities, I would say I am a very outgoing and involved person who loves building professional relationships and helping others. I've dedicated a significant amount of time to volunteering and community service, which are essential parts of my life. I have organized coat drives to support families in need and assisted businesses with their events. For instance, thanks to Miss Sunnyside, I helped Walmart by collecting donations for children's hospitals and providing customers with complimentary water on hot days. Moreover, based on these experiences, I have set a goal in my life to never give up and to achieve success by being self-sufficient. That's why I am interested in pursuing a career as a graphic designer. In this role, I aim to express my creativity by creating advertisements, and templates, and working on social media concepts. As of now, I have completed my associate's degree at Yakima Valley Community College. Currently, I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Digital Technology and Cultures at Washington State University and maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
