Hi there! I'm Abigail Akyea, a determined and open-minded Sophomore from Alexandria, VA, currently pursuing my studies in Information Systems at Virginia Commonwealth University. With a passion for learning and a drive for excellence, I'm dedicated to expanding my knowledge and skills in the tech industry. I thrive on tackling challenges head-on and finding innovative solutions. With strong soft skills such as my communication abilities and leadership, I aim to make a positive impact and contribute to the growth and empowerment of others. I believe that stronger community investment creates a stronger foundation for the success of all people. I was the 2023 Southeast Regional Youth of the Year for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, I represented thousands of youth in the Southeast Region of the United States. With my platform I aim to create a positive change in society. Also to be a member of an industry such as technology, that is constantly evolving and creating opportunities for young people like myself.
