About Abigail Doberstein

My passion to understand the intricacies of the human body surfaced early in my life. At six years old, I took joy in “helping” my mother pass nursing school by stealing her textbooks to bookmark and study pictures of the spine. Fast forward to the present, I am that same, perpetually curious and spirited helper still studying the spine, now dedicated to the profession of physical therapy. I am committed to professional growth and execution of my role as a human movement systems expert. In less than five years of clinical practice, I pursued my certification as a Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy, a necessary milestone for establishing myself as a leader in this field. Day-to-day my knowledge is thoughtfully translated through patient-centered care. I strive to provide comprehensive patient and family education and evidence-based interventions all focused on maximizing the patient’s functional outcomes, independence and quality of life. Effective communication has also been integral to my role as a senior leader in a multidisciplinary sub-acute rehab facility.
