Background

About Abigail Edgar

I am a substitute teacher at California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, a nanny, and a private tutor, with a passion for education and psychology. My goal is to contribute to the academic and personal growth of children and young adults, as I pursue a master's degree in school psychology at National University. I have a diverse and enriching educational background, with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from San Diego State University, an associate's degree in administration of justice from Imperial Valley College, and study abroad experiences in Ireland and Italy. I apply my core competencies in customer service, cash handling, and creative problem solving in my current roles, where I adapt to different classroom settings and curricula, provide a positive and supportive learning environment for students, create engaging activities that incorporate learning through play and build children's social, emotional, and behavioral skills, and help students with individualized assistance, additional projects, and questions.
