About Abigail Lee

My current role as an NHS Research Assistant Psychologist allows me to assist with neurological research studies at NUH. Through my previous post as an Assistant Psychologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals provided experience of completing neuropsychological assessments and giving one-to-one therapy to patients. I completed my PhD at the University of Nottingham in March 2023, where my research explored the use of an online intervention in the self-management of Dementia. Alongside my NHS work, I am a postdoctoral researcher in stroke, and was previously coordinator for the University of Nottingham on the WHO MiNDBank Project. I have Research Assistant experience on MS and Stroke projects, and have presented research at several conferences. I have particular interests in Paediatric Neuropsychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, and Rehabilitation Psychology. Through completing a specialist MSc, I improved my skills and obtained the knowledge required to work in these specific areas. Previous experience has involved working with diverse groups of people with a range of physical and mental health problems in different environments. I have research experience scoring cognitive assessments, data inputting, management and checking in the OPTIMISM and CRAMMS research trials.
