About Abigail Samuels

I recently graduated from Northumbria University with a First Class Degree in Psychology with Criminology. This degree consisted of a wide range of modules including Police and Policing, Prisons and Punishment, Neuropsychology and Abnormal Psychology, Advanced Psychological Research Methods & Analysis and many more. This degree did not only allow me to understand the complexity of human behaviour, but it has also allowed me to gain a range of new skills, including becoming a competent user of SPSS data analysis software. Alongside my degree, and since the age of 16, I have had a part-time job as a waitress/bar staff at a local pub. This industry has allowed me to gain skills in money handling, communication skills, professionalism alongside being able to be flexible and efficient in times when the pub season is at its busiest. I am very dependable and outgoing individual and would confidently say I was a reliable member of my team. This is reflected through being chosen for the ICAEW National Business Competition in 2015. This task included choosing the best of three business problems and presenting to a panel. It required dedication of my time, excellent communication skills presenting the case to a client alongside the ability to work well within a team, all of which are attributes that made me a valid member of the group. Alongside this, I have a 4 year clean driving license, whilst I have also gained additional achievements including Sports Leadership Award, Level 2 Certificate Working with Others (ASDAN) and Level 2 Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (ASDAN). I pride myself as flexible, versatile and motivated individual who will always give 100% to any task at hand.
