I graduated with honors from Houghton University with a BS in biochemistry, with minors in art and psychology. My passions lie in mind-body medicine, ceramics, and psychology, which have influenced my future academic pursuits. I am plan to enroll in a master's degree program in nutrition and metabolism, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the field of holistic wellness. My education at Houghton University provided me with a wide skillset and enriched my character. From designing my own lab experiments and research projects, to tutoring humanities courses, and selling the artwork I made on campus, my time at Houghton was truly a pivotal point in shaping the hardworking and dedicated person I am today. Additionally, I have gained unique experiences outside of my formal education, including seasonal positions as a housekeeping manager and chef at an upscale fishing and sporting resort, teaching English in the Czech Republic, and shadowing at a naturopathic medical clinic. I am grateful for these opportunities, and I look forward to continuing my academic and personal growth in the future.
