About Abigayle Boardman

I joined the team at Acland Bracewell as a Graduate Planner in 2021 and have recently been promoted to a Senior Planner role after passing my APC and becoming a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI). Whilst studying for a history degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, I was headhunted for a full-time planning role, starting before sitting my history exams. After graduation, I enrolled on an RTPI-accredited Masters of Civic Design (planning) at University of Liverpool and graduated in 2021, shortly after joining Acland Bracewell. I now have over four years experience in planning. In my current role, I work on a wide range of planning-related matters and have thrived in a supportive environment, building up a strong bank of knowledge and skills, particularly in agricultural, commercial, residential and Green Belt developments. History remains a passion of mine and one I’ve been able to leverage in my role at Acland Bracewell, working on Listed Buildings and in Conservation Areas. I also have an interest in Planning Law and pride myself in staying informed on the ever-changing legal framework of planning in England.
