About Abil Dermail
I am an Indonesian with a strong passion for plant breeding, research, and teaching. I have spent almost 11 years in academia, including four years on bachelor degree working with conventional maize breeding, two years on master degree working with synergistic sweet-waxy corn breeding, three years on doctoral degree and a year as a postdoctoral researcher working with doubled haploids (DH) in maize. During my academic journey, I have published 17 research articles, most of which have been indexed in Q1-Q2 Scopus. I have also developed several promising hybrids of sweet-waxy corn and maize haploid inducer lines. Aside from research and breeding, I am a special lecturer at Khon Kaen University, where I teach Bahasa Indonesia to Thai undergraduate students. Besides, I work as a freelance proofreader.
