About Abin Jacob

As an engineer, neuroscientist, and entrepreneur, I am committed to enhancing human interaction and accessibility through multidisciplinary collaboration in engineering, HCI, cognitive neuroscience, and advanced technology. Currently, I am co-founding CalypsoBCI, where we are developing a pioneering hybrid BCI-AR system designed to enable intuitive, context-aware interactions in responsive environments. Our wearable AR glasses empower users to seamlessly control smart devices and engage with their surroundings through neural commands, opening new possibilities for intuitive, hands-free experiences. My research centers on cognitive neuroscience and wearable neurofeedback, with a focus on creating responsive environment systems that personalize experiences to suit each user. I believe BCI technology holds the key to building smarter, more intuitive environments that dynamically adjust to user needs. In addition to Calypso, I have co-founded companies such as That Semicolon and Bluematter Labs, and developed products like Cardspace, and Toss. My interdisciplinary background allows me to address complex challenges from multiple perspectives and collaborate effectively with experts across diverse fields.
