About Abra Hovgaard

I am a second-generation financial advisor at Edward Jones. My father started our office when I was 6 years old. During high school, I answered the phone and assisted with administrative tasks. After attending college and completing a master’s degree, I decided to join the family business full-time in 2004. I'm proud to continue our family traditional of helping individuals reach their most important financial hopes and dreams. Helping clients achieve their financial goals is truly an honor and a responsibility I don't take lightly. I have earned both the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, or CFP®, and Accredited Asset Management Specialist™, or AAMS™, professional certifications. I am honored to have been named among the top financial advisors with- Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors ranking 2022*-Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors Best-in-State ranking 2022-2023** Since 2014, I've been invited to the Edward Jones Managing Partner’s Conference, where the firm’s top 400 financial advisors out of more than gather annually to discuss best practices and new strategies to serve clients. In 2022 I was asked to take on additional leadership responsibilities at the firm. As a Principal, I support financial advisor recruiting efforts across 11 states. I have a deep passion for attracting more women and people of color to this profession. Giving back to the community has always been important to me. I currently serve on the board of directors of Multicolores, a non-profit supporting female Mayan artisans in Guatemala.
