About Abraham Winter
Hello all, I am Abe Winter the oldest and wisest member of Irons Of Life Fire Rescue Training. I am 38 years old and I have been in the fire service for 18 years. I started out as a junior at Antioch Community Fire Rescue. My dad has been the chief at Antioch since 1981. I’m not sure when I started going to the firehouse with him, but I’m told I was quite young. I have been obsessed ever since.I am currently employed full time with Woodsfield EMS. Also, I am a member of Woodsfield FD as well as a member of Antioch’s rope rescue team. I serve as treasurer and secretary for the Monroe County Fire Association. I saw a need for more training in my area. So, I obtained Instructor 1 & 2 through the Ohio fire Academy. Recently, two of my colleagues and I at WEMS decided to form Irons Of Life in order to help fill the void in training we noticed in our rural corner of Ohio.
