My theory is that if ALL students believed in their potential to succeed, and were taught the critical importance of 21st Century Skills from K-16, the achievement gap would finally start closing and more students would be prepared for the rigors of college, a career, and life. A Cognitive Upgrade, PBL/STEAM, equity/inclusion/social justice dispositions, and transformative practices bring out the best in students AND teachers. Creativity, equity, maximized potential, integrated technology, research, rigor, and real-world application - what better way to prepare students for college and a career? I believe in amplifying achievement outcomes, building educator capacity in curriculum and instruction, integrating technology in the classroom, and simplifying the complex.
