About Ace Conniff

I am a behavioral health professional and public health practitioner committed to advancing health equity, social justice, and trauma-informed systems of care. With over a decade of experience supporting justice-involved and marginalized communities, I specialize in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care coordination and case management. My work spans various settings, including courts, hospitals, housing, and crisis systems. I’ve led efforts to ensure individuals receive the right level of care, at the right time, with the right supports—especially those navigating structural barriers. As a leader, I use the coach approach—grounded in curiosity, cultural humility, and collaborative growth. I mentor professionals across disciplines, foster psychologically safe teams, and promote organizational cultures that prioritize dignity, equity, and accountability. I believe that the way we lead internally must reflect the justice we seek to create externally. My practice is rooted in harm reduction, anti-oppression, and the belief that systems should be healing—not harmful. I bring a lens informed by both behavioral health and public health, with a focus on transforming how we respond to people experiencing mental health crises, substance use, and poverty. I’m passionate about redesigning care systems to be more responsive, person-centered, and equitable—and I welcome opportunities to connect with others working at the intersection of behavioral health, public health, and social justice.
