About Ad Reniers

At this moment I’m working in the group Electromagnetics of the faculty electrical engineering. I co-supervise and guide bachelor, master and PhD students during their study and graduation. Aid them with their designs, experiments and measurements related to RF and EM topics varying from antennas, reflectors, sensors and radar technology. Moreover, I’m project leader of two research projects namely “The design of a mm-wave anechoic chamber” in collaboration with center of wireless technology and “safe positioning of nasogastric feeding tubes in preterm born babies” in collaboration with the faculty of Industrial Engineering and Maxima Medical Center. Before, I worked for ten years at TNO Industry and Technology in Eindhoven in different groups related to electrical engineering. The last four years my contribution in these projects varied from doing research into and design and measuring of on topics such as: Design and improvement of medical devices and procedures, design and miniaturization of sensor systems based on RF/EM, localization with aid of RFID and contributed to some, at that time, innovative antenna designs, concepts and measurement techniques.
