About Ada Lin

I always liked computers since I was young, it started from playing games and then wondering how they were made. I went to a technical high school for Computer Science, and by the time I was done I was still interested in Computer Science. This is why I chose to major in Computer Science at Rutgers University. Specifically, I am now interested in software engineering and QA testing. I am graduating this May (2024) as Computer Science major. I have taken many technical courses thus far, I have experience in databases, software methodologies, computer architecture, and algorithms. These classes have helped me in my internship this summer when I worked on developing scripts to parse data to work with in databases. I am currently a coop for UPS and I am working on a PowerBI presentation on one of our IAM datasets. I am also currently a Buildings Operations Manager for Busch Student Center at Rutgers. This has helped me develop leadership skills, soft skills when talking with clients, and adaptability when solving unexpected problems. I am now interested in full time positions in computer science, specifically in software engineering or QA Testing. I am looking for full time positions in early career or rotational program to better prepare me for the rest of my career. I have experience in Object Oriented Programming, database work, data analysis, and web development. I have experience in the following programming languages and technologies: Java, C, Python, SQL.NET programming, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Maple, Microsoft Access, VSCode, IntelliJ, MySQL, JDBC, and Git.
