About Ada Sosa

I am a passionate healthcare and advocacy professional with a strong foundation in patient rights, compliance, and holistic well-being. Currently serving as a Monitoring and Investigations Specialist and Patients' Rights Advocate at the Mental Health Association of Alameda County, I help ensure that psychiatric facilities maintain legal, ethical, and operational standards through investigations, risk management, compliance audits, and staff training. My diverse background includes hands-on patient care as a Physical Therapy Aide, administrative work in health services, and direct community advocacy. I also hold a Personal Training Certification, which has deepened my commitment to the mind-body connection as a key part of healing and resilience. I earned my undergraduate degree from Holy Names University in May 2023, and previously studied in the Pre-Nursing program at Mills College. I am also a former NCAA student-athlete, having competed at both the Division II and Division levels. These experiences cultivated my discipline, leadership, and dedication to wellness; both in myself and those I serve. My mission is to support individuals in healing not just mentally or physically, but as whole people, through trauma-informed, culturally responsive care that honors the full spectrum of their lived experience.
