Digital Forensics Examiner with CDFS situated in Melbourne. Previously employed at Tasmania Police for 29 years where I was a Constable, Detective, Senior Sergeant, Acting Inspector, Business Analyst and Project Advisor/Manager during that time. Proficient in many types of investigations including drugs, fraud, and serious crime. I have successfully managed critical incidents to resolution and have been responsible for managing and leading teams, mentoring staff and been involved in the implementation and development of training. I have a background in IT and project management, having been involved in the implementation and roll-out of various IT systems and hardware within Tasmania Police. During COVID I successfully ran a three month project from start to finish to replace an aging server that houses critical evidence. This included stakeholder engagement, decommissioning, procurement, delivery, migration and implementation. I am a fully certified drone pilot and operator with a Remote Pilot Licence (RePL [25kg endorsement]) and Remote Operator's Certificate (ReOC) and I have experience in photogrammetry and mapping, developing highly detailed models of scenes for evidentiary purposes in both daylight and at night. As a Senior Sergeant in Forensic Services, I was responsible for control and management to resolution of complex crime scenes, leading the forensic response and liaising with relevant stakeholders throughout the process. I was the officer in charge of the Digital Evidence Unit, proficient in contemporary digital forensic tools such as Cellebrite, MSAB, Magnet Axiom, FTK Imager, DVR Examiner, Passware, Axon Investigate and the Adobe suite of audio/video editing. I was also the business owner for Axon systems within Tasmania Police.
