About Adam Bettinger

Adam Bettinger is a alumni of Penn State, with a degree in Horticulture and minors in Spanish and Entomology. Adam has been working with plants since childhood, starting with weeding, mulching, spring and fall clean ups and in general caring for multiple family gardens. While attending Penn State, Adam began exploring tissue culture, starting with a plant propagation class work and working in two tissue culture labs on campus: The Carlson Lab in The Schatz Center for Tree Molecular Genetics, preparing nutrient media mixes and plating green ash callus and in the Renner Lab, where Adam prepared media and plated several species of carnivorous plants. Since 2020, Adam has been actively pursuing a career in the PA Cannabis industry. Starting as a Trimmer for AYR Wellness, Adam has participated in packaging and cultivation (Flower, Veg, and Mom & Clone), caring for the plants from clone to harvest. Currently, Adam is a Lab Associate at Holistic Industries, where he is involved in post harvest processing of bulk flower into distillate cartridges. Adam is looking forward to the expansion of the industry and is focused on a patients and education first approach for those who find relief from this medicine as well as those interested in learning more about cannabis.
