Veteran Criminal Justice Professional with over a decade of diverse experience with a passion for project development and management. A true believer of interdisciplinary and proactive collaboration with a focus on threat prevention and community policing models. I have developed the first of its kind local threat assessment team and have been a staunch supporter of K—12 safety and have not only provided inspection and education for all school systems within my community, I have also spoken on the national level and amongst lobbyists and legislators to push for the enactment of preventative and threat assessment legislation in the State of Indiana. I was selected as the first federal task force officer in departments history since 1812, and serve as a threat assessment practitioner. I have proven, demonstrated leadership skills in numerous modalities and theories but extensive application and desire for transformational leadership in the workplace. I have developed and implemented the first of its kind Kaizen teams in law enforcement for lean strategies and employee and community satisfaction. Strong background in training application and training development for a range of audiences both private and government sector. I am an experienced Multi-discipline instructor with a focus in adult learning theory and application of skills. I have provided education to criminal justice professionals on both the national and international stage in a wide array of modalities. I am passionate about captivating audiences and instilling wisdom in my students. Experienced nurse in multiple settings with specialization in geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical-surgical nursing. This experience has allowed me to crossover into law enforcement as a Drug Recognition Expert and former leader to prevent impaired motorists and increase traffic safety. The vast knowledge and application of pharmacological process has allowed me to be an effective narcotics officer in the criminal justice realm. I have a passion for community advocacy and presently sit on numerous boards for mental health, addictions and substance use disorder. As a member of these advocacy groups, I help to provide a liaison and bridge for mental health and substance abuse practitioners and law enforcement. Utilizing informed and evidence based concepts and practices to better serve our community and those I serve. The path to prevention and treatment is through collaboration.
