About Adam Brewton

Adam has worked in a wide range of industries from Higher Education, to managing a movie theatre, to Law Enforcement. Thanks to Alabama's extremely lax employment laws, Adam has been legally working since the day he turned 14 years old. He has worked in dispatch, corrections, and served on the surveillance team of the narcotics and warrants task force. He has also been the assistant manager of the local movie theatre and has worked for the last 12 years at Columbia Southern University. The common factor Adam brought to all of these jobs is a strong sense of team and a willingness to help others to ensure everyone achieves their goals. Adam has been described by his colleagues as a strong leader, a creative problem solver, and a little eccentric. He personally feels that last part is required if you're going to create unique solutions and anticipate problems. During his time at Columbia Southern University, Adam worked with a variety of teams and departments to refine workflows, improve processes, and create student support strategies which improved the student experience and enrollments. He also worked with the university president to revise the university's customer service model and create institution-wide trainings. Within the Academic Advising and Student Support Centers, Adam worked with other leaders to build a professional development program for department staff and create growth opportunities. He currently works as a Customer Service Manager for the online fashion retail powerhouse ShopBop. Adam is part of a team of dynamic leaders from a variety of backgrounds helping to deliver the highest level of service to Shopbop’s customers and support to their employees.
