About Adam Deadlock

Currently an Associate Portfolio Manager on the fundamental equities team at AIMCo, with a main focus on the Canadian strategy. Within the investment management industry, I have covered materials and industrials sectors on the research side and been the executing trader for internal equity strategies. Prior to the APM role I was an Energy Trader at Capital Power primarily focused on trading and analysis of daily to calendar terms within the AESO and MidC markets. I had also previously been with Capital Power providing analytical support to the corporate strategy and environmental trading groups as well as a real time power trader on the west desk. Obtained the the Energy Risk Professional (ERP) designation 2014. Awarded the CFA charter Dec 2015. Have received a Certificate in Derivative Market Strategies, Certificate in Technical Analysis, and Certificate in Equity Trading and Sales from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI Education). This required completing the Derivative Fundamentals and Options Licensing, Financial Markets - Risk Management, Commodities as Investments, Futures Licensing, Traders Training, Technical Analysis, and Equity Trading and Sales courses- Class of 2012 Fund Manager for the Calgary Portfolio Management Trust at UofC.
