Hey there! I'm Adam, a Systems Administrator who's all about protecting data with cybersecurity! From general helpdesk, security administration, to identity and access management, I've gathered six years of hands-on experience in systems administration and security compliance. Let me just tell you, I'm only getting started. My journey has been a rollercoaster of events. I started like most people in IT, learning the fundamentals in a helpdesk position. I learned the day-to-day operations of an enterprise environment. I went on to be the technical lead for a project in the North America region focusing on critical production system backups. Developing the best practices for backup, restoration, and disaster recovery, I created documentation that the Automotive division would later adopt for all locations within North America. It was during this time I had the realization of how important cybersecurity truly is. Disaster recovery is a great thing to have, but companies need to be proactive and avoid needing to use those solutions if possible. Some of the brightest minds are unfortunately individuals with ill intentions. I've learned that Black-Hat hackers are typically one or more steps ahead of everyone else. But hey, that's what makes this field so thrilling, right? I'm a firm believer in preventative protection, which is why I'm always eager to dive into security compliance. Whether it's developing a disaster recovery plan or setting out to achieve regulatory compliance for the business, I'm all in, bringing my A-game every step of the way. Beyond the hustle, you'll find me out on the lake, playing a round of golf, or maybe even just working around the house and smoking some barbeque.
