I've dedicated the last 10 years of my career to the specialist area of prosthetic and amputee rehabilitation which has become a true passion. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, supporting them through every stage of their rehabilitation, from early recovery to long-term care and functional independence. I bring nearly ten years of experience from a large, busy NHS regional prosthetic centre, as well as from private practice, where I’ve managed a wide range of complex cases involving congenital and acquired limb loss, multiple limb loss and polytrauma, paediatrics, prosthetic prescription, gait analysis, and overall rehabilitation planning. Honesty, integrity, and teamwork are central to how I work. I value my role within the wider multidisciplinary team and always aim to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care. In addition to my clinical work, I’m also trained in medico-legal report writing and offer impartial, well-reasoned expert opinions for the courts. AREA OF EXPERTISE • Prosthetic and amputee rehabilitation (lower and upper limb; paediatric to older adult). • Carry out initial needs assessments post-amputation, identifying immediate and longer-term rehabilitation requirements. • Gait analysis, compensatory patterns, and functional capacity assessment. • Prosthetic suitability, prescription, and technology (incl. microprocessor knees, feet, and upper-limb devices). • Complex cases: multiple limb loss, oncology, trauma, dysvascularity, and congenital limb difference. • Pre- and post-operative rehabilitation and long-term management. • Multidisciplinary team collaboration, leadership, mentoring, audit and service development. • Clear, structured, evidence-based analysis and report writing. • Experienced presenter at national conferences and training events.
