About Adam Flack

After completing the International Baccalaureate at Hockerill Anglo-European College, I joined Marks Heeley Ltd as an apprentice. I studied part time and gained my ONC and HNC Civil Engineering. I then studied part time and gained for my BSc Civil Engineering at Anglia Ruskin Chelmsford. I am proficient in producing AutoCAD drawings, both scheme and detailed working drawings. This includes steel framed buildings, timber framed buildings and reinforced concrete structures for both new projects and refurbishment works to existing structures. In the time I have been at Marks Heeley, I have gained a vast range of experience, working on projects in the industrial, education, domestic, leisure and commercial sectors. I have experience on working on jobs from inception, through to tender, construction and finally practical completion. This has included producing feasibility studies for jobs, attending project meetings and carrying out site visits. I have recently overseen the refurbishment and repairs to the facades of two major London Hotels, carrying out frequent detailed inspections of the works, ensuring a high quality of repair and finish has been achieved. As part of my job, I am also required to produce reports, following inspections and surveys. My report writing also includes producing Flood Risk Assessments for the use in gaining planning consent for new schemes. This involves liaising with the Environment Agency and the analysis of modelled flood data in relation to the site.
