Weiner Ventures is a private investment office with interests spanning real estate and a wide range of other sectors. Real estate investments focus primarily on mixed-use projects throughout Greater Boston. Investments in other sectors focus on opportunities driven by amazing and adaptive people and teams, novel ideas, and outstanding technologies. More tangibly, we focus on business model validation, management strength, revenue growth, margin health, profit scalability, cash flow, and capital structure including incentives. Our real estate investments include the former Museum of Natural History in Back Bay, now the home of Restoration Hardware; mixed-use projects in the Fenway including The Verb Hotel and the Pierce residential and retail tower; and mixed-use projects in Allston including the Labworks lab / office, residential, and retail development. We have partnered on a wide variety of projects developed, owned, and managed by real estate development firms S.R. Weiner & Associates and WS Development, including Mandarin Oriental in Boston, The Street in Chestnut Hill, and Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham. Other sectors in which we invest include software / SaaS, retailers, entertainment and gaming, health and wellness, biotech, lighting, and consumer products and services. We actively collaborate with each company's management team and with sector experts during the due diligence process and we continue doing so post-investment. We are opportunistic investors primarily focusing on growth stage capital and occasionally extending to later-stage investments in more mature companies.
