About Adam Johnstone

Don’t call me a Master Grower. I started with one light in a closet in Arcata, CA. From those Humboldt beginnings, I found a passion and a life path working with cannabis. I have grown it in all three counties of the emerald triangle. I have grown it on two coasts for two very different medical programs. I have continued to learn, going from managing teams of growers on clandestine hillsides in Mendocino, to aiding in the design and development of the highest tech Dutch greenhouses and hydroponic systems. I have been a consultant, a grower, a soil designer, a product designer and tester, a de facto general manager of a new cannabis company (going from a handful of employees to scores within 18 months), a business strategist and marketing lead, but most importantly I have been a constant student seeking to learn and improve. Throughout these 20+ years of dedication to a partnership with the most versatile and venerable plant in creation, I have made innumerable mistakes. I have taken those mistakes as lessons and motivations to drive to constantly improve myself and, by extension, my craft. I am dedicated to continuing to grow and learn.
