About Adam Kerr

Since I was about six years old I’ve wanted to be an engineer, but I didn't really understand what engineering truly was until I started university. I realized what engineering means is problem solving; it's about using science and technology to create solutions that improve society and peoples' lives. Once I understood this, I knew that this profession was perfect for me. I think about the future nearly everyday, about what might be possible and the world that I'd like to see. We have the opportunity to create a reality that most people can’t even imagine. This is my biggest motivator and I will do whatever I can to help bring about my vision for the future. My decision to become a software engineer was because of the transformative potential impact that I saw computers could have on our lives. Software has become an essential part of our daily lives and my skills let me help create software that provides ever increasing value. I'm also particularly interested in Brain Machine Interfaces and Artificial Intelligence, as our interaction and integration with computers and software will play a enormous role in the direction of humanity's progress in the coming decades. Although there are many challenges ahead of us, and I am very excited to play my part in developing the solutions that will overcome them, and creating a better future for the benefit of everyone.
