About Adam Kirkbride

I am committed to improving access to rehabilitative services for people of all backgrounds. My experience includes frontline DAPP support as well as DAPP case and practice management, consultation on designing an intervention for LGBTQ+ people causing harm, wellbeing work in a probation CRS wellbeing service, and designing and delivering training and workshops on domestic abuse for professionals at all levels of experience. I am currently studying for a Level 3 qualification in Counselling Studies, and have an MA in Contemporary Literature. My MA dissertation examined the trauma plot in relation to literature representing traumatic bereavement and complex trauma related to domestic abuse, and proposed a more affective way of interpreting the trauma plot that allows the promotion of recovery and healing.
