About Adam Kwok

My name is Adam Kwok and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia. I am currently enrolled in Chemical and Biological Engineering in the process stream. Currently, I am on an engineering design team called Agrobot. The team I am a part of is the Hydroponics team, specializing in creating an automated hydroponic system for UBC farms. I am particularly involved in creating the automated monitoring system, giving me skills in CAD modelling and design. Last year, while I was living in residence, I was elected as Vice-President for my residence house. I was responsible for taking meeting minutes, planning social events for the council members, and planning small events for individuals living in residence. At the end of the year, I was elected to be the VP Internal of my residence area. By being a VP, I gained valuable leadership and planning skills, as well as improve my proficiency with Microsoft Word. Finally, in secondary school, I was actively involved in soccer refereeing. I was offered plenty of referee opportunities: Provincials, Nationals, Tournaments, and Junior Whitecaps. One of the notable achievements from refereeing was getting the opportunity ref the Canadian Women's National team for an exhibition game, and earning the referee of the year at my local club. Through refereeing, I gained valuable personable and communication skills. Refereeing also gave me a bunch of leadership opportunities as I would always work as a team.
