About Adam Little

After having an interest in sound and production I went into work as a live sound engineer (providing monitors on tours and festivals across Europe). I then decided to go into teaching to pass my passion for science onto future generations. I am keen to develop my skills as well as others and coach others as well as leading whole school teaching and learning initiatives. I now lead CPD for teachers and technicians at the National STEM Learning Centre in York. I have won contracts including a Polar Explorer Programme which engaged over 500 schools directly and many more over 3 years and more with its continued legacy. I also was the first to directly lead online CPD working with TES to develop online physics CPD and now write remote courses and more linked to FutureLearn. I also take teachers to CERN to engage in their teacher programme and have had past participants win places on their exclusive teacher summer programmes. I am keen on developing partnerships with others and have been involved with work undertaken by the Institute of Physics such as their inclusivity work. I am also looking at neuroscience and working with Chimp Management to see how we can help with teacher wellbeing. Outside of work I am a keen runner who is building up to complete a marathon, and I coach a youth football team. To unwind I also DJ specialising in 90s indie and Britpop.
