Working as Marketing Manager at Foundation of Light, I lead on the creation of content and develop marketing plans to support all aspects of Beacon of Light, plan digital marketing campaigns for Beacon of Light, including web, SEO, email, social media, and advertising, whilst meeting targets as set out in the business plan and managing marketing budget. As well as the above, some other experiences I believe are worth noting are: Whilst working as a Digital Marketing Manager for Infinite Durham my primary target was to develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business goals to drive online sales and customer acquisition. Worked on all aspects of communications at University of Sunderland students, helped develop and implement marketing and communication campaigns across all channels, including social media, website and email. All working in line with the University budget and the academic timeline. Aided University of Sunderland in starting up and managing a student-led agency, helping students work on real-life projects for real local businesses, whilst earning money and building a portfolio whilst still studying. A very large part of my day-to-day tasks was to develop, monitor the website and social media content for both a young student audience as well as a business audience. Whilst being a self-employed business owner, I built my Marketing expertise through multiple paid courses from Marketing experts in Social Media, Email and content Marketing, as well as self- teaching and learning from experience. All of which helped me grow my niche fitness classes from scratch to running 5 evenings per week at maximum capacity. In the 2 years I worked at East Coast Fitness, we grew from 44 members in 2018 to having 295 members in 2019, and won Sunderland Echo ‘Best Health and Wellness Business Award’ 2 years in a row. A study abroad year in Georgia, United States was my biggest 'life lesson' that lead me to many personal and professional rewards. I learned that I can adapt to any situation and overcome any scenario that may occur, no matter how big or scary it may seem. As well as really adding to my personality and outlook by making me a much more outgoing, confident and fun person.
