About Adam Nagy

No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world. Ever since I heard these words from Robin Williams' character when watching Dead Poets Society for the first time, I knew that I was going to gravitate towards just that. I am a Video Editor and Virtual Reality Developer recently graduated from New York University Abu Dhabi. This has been the most diverse place that I have ever been in my whole life and is the most diverse university in the world, or so I'm told. Among classmates from over 70 countries I have learned a truly global outlook on artistic issues and I have been involved with projects where our global perspectives have shaped group projects to represent inclusive and thought provoking ideas. During my education in film I worked on 4 thesis films, wrote and directed films and edited countless short format content from short films to promotional videos. I have worked on the board game "Superhero" to promote scientific thinking for Nepali primary school students, I managed the Video Desk of and filmed video pieces for the UAE newspaper the Gazelle that has monthly visits. My thesis project, Free Shipping is a Virtual Reality experience that showcases how humans present their unconscious biases in Virtual Reality. My greatest strengths are curiosity, my desire to build relationships, my willingness to learn. I am detail-oriented, analysis driven, and a creative problem solver.
