About Adam Nicholas

When I was nine, I brought my beloved copy of "The Way Things Work" to be signed by the authors. To this day it is still on the bookshelf in my living room, ready to be flipped through at a moment's notice. I'm endlessly fascinated with learning new things, I am quick to crack something open to see what makes it tick, and to my core I am a systems-thinker. Most recently I've begun an exciting career in distilling, but over the past decade working as an analytical chemist and volunteer bike mechanic I've come to a powerful realization. Whether you're working with triple-quad mass specs that cost half a million bucks or used bikes that have been sitting in garages for twenty years, the equipment is only ever as good as the team, the environment, and the supports made available. With this in mind, I always strive to facilitate the development of those around me. I enjoy helping others meet success, and in doing so I've found that it continues to enrich my own knowledge. Through volunteering, I've done a great deal of co-learning alongside individuals from many different backgrounds. These experiences have taught me just how important it is to meet everyone where they're at when collaborative problem solving, and putting accessibility and communication at the forefront is the key.
