About Adam Petro

I am passionate about learning and applying the latest skills and tools to protect data and systems from cyber and physical threats. I have earned the CompTIA Security+ certification and the TestOut Security Pro credential, demonstrating my knowledge and proficiency in various domains of cybersecurity, such as network security, cryptography, risk management, and incident response. I was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society in December of 2023 and received a Certificate of Appreciation for my academic excellence and volunteer work. I served in the United States Marine Corps for four and a half years as an aviation communication technician, where I performed maintenance and repairs on various communication systems and handled classified documents and hardware with a secret-level security clearance. I received an honorary discharge. I worked as a Deputy for the Grant County Sheriff's Office, where I obtained my Peace Officer Certification and was elected as the class president by my peers. I am currently a project manager for access control systems at Integrated Openings Solutions (Clearwater). I believe we are creating safe, efficient, and convenient solutions for securing all buildings. We are dedicated to the learning and application of top-tier access control systems, cameras, and the software to manage them.
