About Adam Pottle
I’m an educator who since 2006 has taught English, Professional Communication, and Creative Writing. I have a PhD in English literature and can handle a range of classes and topics, though my specialties are horror, Canadian literature, poetry, disability studies, and fiction. I'm also a writer whose work spans multiple genres, including fiction, poetry, memoir, and drama. I have published five books and had two plays produced. I served as the 2021-22 writer in residence at Sheridan College and was a 2022 Warner Bros. Discovery Access screenwriting fellow. My new novel APPARITIONS was released in September 2023, and my children's book BUTTERFLY ON THE WIND appeared in March 2024. Before attaining my PhD, I worked at Service Canada, first as an intern, then as a program officer, managing a portfolio of projects funded by the federal government and working with local stakeholders to create employment opportunities, especially with nonprofit organizations.
