Background

About Adam Poveda

I am a recent graduate from TU Dublin holding a First-Class Honours (1:1) Degree in Manufacturing and Design Engineering. My degree provided me with a diverse foundation across design, quality engineering, manufacturing processes, and operations management. My final year project focused on the design and manufacturing of a suspension system for the TU Dublin Formula Student race car. This involved CAD modelling, Finite Element Analysis, CNC machining, manual machining, and validation testing. This experience strengthened my technical problem-solving skills and understanding of real-world engineering constraints.Through my summer internship with Delap & Waller, I gained hands-on experience within the Building Services industry, where I served as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. During this placement I supported HVAC design using AutoCAD and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams. Being involved in real project work gave me insight into the standards, communication, and precision required in engineering environments.
