About Adam Ray

I began my career in the oil, gas, and chemical industry in 2005. I worked my way up through the ranks starting in the operations department and making it into management. I have achieved several of my goals throughout my career and will continue to achieve more. When I started in the operations division, I learned how to operate a large facility in a refining operation. I then went on to work in the lab where I learned the nature of the products I was working on. I spent 3 years in this department and had the privilege of being involved in the process of working with R&D to learn about a new method of creating a new series of products. After the lab I moved into the maintenance section where I spent most of my time upgraded into planning and scheduling. When I had spare time, I was working as the standard maintenance procedures coordinator. In 2014 I was recruited by COP to work in a commissioning role on new facilities. I was able to use my expertise in reading P & ID’s and the knowledge I gained as the SMP coordinator to work in and improve the work environment we were in. I next moved into the role of a Project Lead with COP. In this position I would manage medium sized crews in the construction of facilities and pipelines to service the O&G sector.
