About Adam Sciupac

I am a professional airline pilot and experienced flight instructor. I have served as a Captain on the Bombardier CRJ series aircraft at PSA Airlines and currently fly the Boeing 737 as a First Officer for United Airlines. At PSA Airlines, I also worked as a Technical Pilot/Writer, utilizing User Experience and Design methodologies to enhance critical safety documents for pilots. As an empathetic and creative problem-solver, I am constantly seeking ways to make systems and processes more user-friendly. I thrive on challenges and enjoy learning new things! During the COVID-19 pandemic, while furloughed from flying, I worked at Lucid Drone Technologies, a drone startup. I designed a training program by collaborating with multiple departments to identify customer needs, developed and implemented Customer Relationship Management processes to improve client relations and feedback, and applied my professional pilot experience to establish Standard Operating Procedures and checklists for safety and operational efficiency. I am passionate about creating opportunities in the aviation industry for underserved communities. As the child of immigrant parents from South America, I had limited resources to pursue my dream of flying. Today, the Latino Pilots Association (LPA) works tirelessly to serve these communities through mentorship, scholarships, and development programs. I am proud to serve as the Northeast Regional Lead for LPA, where I oversee and support local chapters from Virginia to Maine, driving community engagement and organizational growth. Notably, I initiated the creation of a multi-month educational program aimed at middle schools to promote STEM education and career opportunities.
