About Adam Slahor

I’ve been writing since I learned how to walk, and mastered my skills in leadership positions on my high school and college yearbook. I majored in journalism and corporate communications in undergrad and graduate school, while specializing in sociology and diversity. Once I joined the workplace, I got my feet wet as a sports writer before transitioning to corporate communications, which has become my niche. I’ve had lengthy stints at two Fortune 500 companies – Exelon and Northern Trust – serving as a jack of all trades for both organizations. I have vast experience in internal communications, change management, employee engagement, media relations, executive positioning, community outreach and government affairs. I am comfortable wearing a hard hat and getting to know the communication needs of field employees, or donning a shirt and tie and meeting with business leaders to help them execute their corporate goals with strategic communications strategies and tactics.
