About Adam Trexler

Adam Trexler, Ph.D. is the founder of Valaurum, Inc, an established, recognized leader in minting technology. Valaurum offers the smallest, most affordable and secure form of physical precious metal in the world. Under Dr. Trexler's leadership, Valaurum postitioned itself as a private mint to national governments with the Aurum® trailblazing a new chapter in the history of money. Dr. Trexler initiated and continues to cultivate distribution relationships with U.S. Mint distributors, the world's largest online retailers, national television campaigns, catalogs and brick and mortar retailers. Dr. Trexler is a thought leader and recognized innovator in physical currency. He is frequently an invited keynote speaker and panel moderator at currency, precious metal, printing and liberty conferences. Dr. Trexler continues to lead research and development efforts at Valaurum. In the first years of the Company, he drove innovation in producing the Aurum® adding valuable security features, changing the architecture of the bill, and developing printing methods used today. He is the inventor of numerous precious metal bill security features, with two patents issued in 2020 and several more in development. Additionally, Dr Trexler is primary inventor of the KeyBill, the most secure form of physical cryptocurrency. Before founding Valaurum, Dr. Trexler had dual backgrounds in academic research and venture capital. From 2008-2012, he was a professor and researcher at the University of Exeter and Queen Mary University of London. To his name are numerous refereed publications relating to the history of culture and science, particularly with regard to credit, the gold standard, money and labor. His academic monograph, on the subject of climate change and culture, Anthropocene Fictions, was published by the University of Virginia Press in 2015. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Trexler worked at Corporate Finance, Inc, structuring early stage companies to raise equity capital.
